This internal project for PlusOne started with a simple self brief — a logo reveal — and ended somewhere far more interesting. The spark came from the Zaouli, a traditional dance form from the Ivory Coast, known for its extraordinary costumes and hypnotic movement vocabulary. Something about those figures — their strangeness, their energy — felt like the perfect starting point for something unexpected.

Rens Pluijm at Public Audio then delivered what can only be described as one of the most gloriously unhinged soundtracks I've ever had the pleasure of working with. A small project that went its own way entirely, which is often when the best things happen.
