Honestly, sports shoes aren't really my territory — so how I ended up supervising a campaign for the new Asics Gel Nimbus is still slightly unclear to me. But here we are. The brief was to highlight the technology behind the shoe, and once the concept was in place, PlusOne's 3D department took over and did what they do best — beautifully. I came back at the end to handle the compositing, which means I had the pleasure of being there at the start and the finish, with the hardest bit handled brilliantly in between. A happy arrangement. The result looks great, even if I'm probably not the person you should call for your next sneaker campaign.
